The wind I would be,
I would, swift, run my way,
Whispering beauty to each tree.
I would collect their grief,
Soothe their hearts I would.
A delicate kiss on each leaf,
Then leave - as fast as I could.
Zephiros, or a god, perhaps,
Carrying the dreams of lovers,
Closing distances, revealing traps,
Blowing chill, under a heart which hovers.
I run as I dance,
Climbing up the hill,
With no barrier or fence,
I fly as I will.
But beyond these mountains,
Lives my beloved flower,
Sipping beauty from fountains,
Before I see her, I cower.
